MOXATAG

MOXATAG™ (amoxicillin extended-release) Tablets, 775 mg is a penicillin-class antibacterial indicated for the treatment of tonsillitis and/or pharyngitis secondary to Streptococcus pyogenes (S. pyogenes) in adults and pediatric patients 12 years and older.1 MOXATAG is the first and only amoxicillin formulation to be approved for once-daily use, providing convenience that may potentially lead to improved patient compliance.1-3 Once-daily dosing with MOXATAG advances traditional treatment with amoxicillin, a drug that has been trusted and relied upon for decades.1,4
The new, once-daily amoxicillin dosing of MOXATAG is made possible because of efficient drug delivery achieved through proprietary extended-release drug delivery technology.1 This innovative drug delivery technology allows for efficient treatment with antibiotics by providing efficacy at lower doses, as well as convenient once-daily dosing.4 Once-daily MOXATAG has been shown to demonstrate efficacy and safety comparable to penicillin VK QID in the treatment of streptococcal tonsillitis and/or pharyngitis in patients 12 years and older.1
